Airport police officers were conducting a routine security check when they saw a man holding a knife in Terminal 1, according to authorities.

Authorities said the unidentified man refused to drop the knife prior to the shooting incident early Friday morning.

Video showed the man reveal a knife and advanced on officers before he was fatally shot, according to a police spokesperson.
